David Bryfman Named to Leading Edge’s CEO Onboarding Program
David Bryfman, incoming CEO of The Jewish Education Project, has been accepted into Leading Edge’s prestigious CEO Onboarding program. Bryfman is one of 14 CEOs in Cohort Three of the CEO Onboarding Program. During the 15 month program, he and his colleagues will work leaders in American Jewish communal life and thought leaders from the field of leadership development. The four convenings will take place throughout the United States and in Israel.
“I am honored to be part of this cohort with other extremely talented CEOs from across the Jewish nonprofit sector,” Bryfman said. “I know the training will receive from the CEO Onboarding program will provide me with the tools and skills to make a smooth and successful transition into my new role as CEO of The Jewish Education Project.”
Bryfman will become CEO on July 1. He will succeed Robert Sherman, who is retiring after 12 years as CEO of The Jewish Education Project. Bryfman joined The Jewish Education Project in 2008 and is currently the Chief Innovation Officer. He is an alum of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship Program and the Schusterman Fellowship for executive leadership and has worked as a Jewish educator in Australia, Israel and North America.
Founded in 2014, Leading Edge works to attract, cultivate, and develop high level talent for Jewish organizations. Through its flagship programs, Leading Edge helps train the next generation of Jewish leaders, strengthens relationships between lay leaders and professional staff, and helps organizations craft successful workplace cultures.
